A wonderful clinic with Leonie Bramall followed by a successful competition at Waitemata.
For Doringcourt, Northern Fortuous and Limonit it was their first competition of the season in a higher level. Doringcourt felt fantastic but did
have a moment in his freestyle when the plastic on the speakers started flapping in the high winds. He was genuiely scared and lost his concentration a little but still managed to score with 69%.
Northern Fortuous was my big surprise of the weekend especially because his changes are still very baby and he has a tendancy to get very ambitious and excuberant with his changes often exciting himself and then turning into a power pack. He did lovely work and really tried hard, listening to me and coping well with his changes. He did a lovely freestyle gaining over 71%.
Doringcourt took out the Level 4 Champion
Northern Fortuous Level 5 Champion and Show Champion and Best Performed Warmblood
Limonit placed well in PSG, Int 1 and his freestyle with all percentages over 60% and coming 5th overall.
I was really thrilled with how Limonit went, he is very baby at PSG and this was his first competition at PSG level with only riding a PSG once before. His first time doing Int I and Int I Kur. He competed against a very experienced class of PSG horses and in his first competition did a great job with only at times a very small percentage difference from the more experienced seasoned horses.
